GLA Voter ID Awareness Campaign Grants

The Greater London Authority (GLA) Social Integration team is running the Voter ID Awareness Campaign Grants as part of its Civic and Democratic Participation Programme. The grant programme is linked to the GLA’s wider Voter ID public awareness campaign to raise awareness in London of the equality implications of the Voting System Changes brought in by the Election Act (2022), namely the impact on under-registered and under-represented Londoners of the introduction of photo Voter ID and the changes to the voting rights of some EU Londoners.

Grant applications closed at 5pm on 12 December 2022.

The first round of grant awards was open for applications between 14 November and12 December 2022. Activity will take place between mid-January and the end of March 2023.

Round 2 of the Voter ID grants programme is pending GLA budget sign off for the financial year 2023/24.

The Voter ID grants programme is one strand of a wider cross-organisation, non-party political effort through which the GLA supports under-registered and under-represented Londoners access their civic and democratic rights,
