There never seems to be enough hours in the day

Person Writing

As a young woman newly graduated, there never seems to be enough hours in the day.  With social media at the tip of my fingers, friends to see, family to visit and day to day to day chores which have to be done, once I have finished work im only fit to sit down and watch the Bake Off.  As the pace of life gets faster, my expectations of myself and what I need to get done in the next 24 hours seems almost overwhelming

Remembering to pay my council tax, when to put out my bins, when to send in my tax return are all new responsibilities and demands on my time.   No one has prepared me for this grown up world.

When I found out that I had to register to vote, I was really quite surprised.  Surely, I thought, registering to vote is something that happens automatically.

Of course, I now know that it doesn’t.  The local authorities need to know where people who are eligible to vote live and where they are able to vote and to do this, I now know, I needed to register.

I have to say that it was remarkably easy to register. I did it on line at https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. and it took five minutes.

As I wait for episode three of the Bake Off this week, I know that one more chore has been done.  Now I can return to the things that matter to me right now – knowing that this important job is done.
