GLA Voter ID Awareness Campaign Grants
The Greater London Authority (GLA) is running the Voter ID Awareness Campaign Grants as part of its Civic and Democratic Participation Programme. The grant programme is linked to the GLA’s wider Voter ID public awareness campaign to raise awareness in London of the equality implications of the Voting System Changes brought in by the Election Act (2022), namely the impact on under-registered and under-represented Londoners of the introduction of photo Voter ID and other changes, including to proxy and postal voting.
The first phase of grant awards ran from mid-January and the end of March 2023.
Phase two of the Voter ID grants programme closed for applications on 14 July.
The Voter ID grants programme is one strand of a wider cross-organisation, non-party political effort through which the GLA supports under-registered and under-represented Londoners access their civic and democratic rights.
