If your photo ID is lost, stolen or damaged

Contact your local Electoral Registration Office if you need:

  • to apply for an emergency proxy vote
  • help replacing your Anonymous Elector's Document
  • advice about your options
  • forms in alternative formats
     

Applying for an emergency proxy vote

You can apply for an emergency proxy vote up until 5pm on election day if your photo ID is:

  • lost
  • stolen
  • destroyed
  • damaged so badly it can't be used as proof of identity

Your local Electoral Registration Office will need to know:

  • why you need an emergency proxy vote
  • who you want to vote on your behalf
  • their full name and address
  • why you could not apply earlier
