GLA Democratic Participation Grants Team

Coalition of Latin Americans in the UK (CLAUK) is made up of six Latin American-led partner organisations – including its lead partner, the Indoamerican Refugee and Migrant Organisation. CLAUK engaged with Latin American Londoners across London through in-person outreach and events, providing direct assistance helping beneficiaries to register to vote.

Age UK Westminster (the primary partner), in partnership with Age UK Kensington & Chelsea (the junior partner), has primarily engaged with Londoners aged 60 and above through direct in-person engagement in Westminster, and Kensington and Chelsea; and through indirect methods, such as distributing flyers (in English, French and Arabic) and newsletters to their readership.

The Politics Project – Exploring Elections 

GLA Democratic Participation Grants Team

The Politics Project engaged young Londoners in schools and youth centres in 27 London boroughs. During these sessions, they shared political literacy information regarding the voting-system changes; signposted young people to the voter-registration process; and facilitated activities designed to interest a younger audience. It shared resources with schools in a digestible format, so that the impact of their outreach could continue after the session.

Voice4Change England: A tailored approach to reaching London’s under-represented community groups

Voice4Change England’s YourVoteYourVoice project, supported by the Greater London Authority (GLA), was an impartial campaign which ran from August 2023-February 2024, to raise awareness about the changes to the way we vote, brought in by the Elections Act (2022).
